6 new cases via Hawaii DoH and HCCD, 7-day average on test positivity on island is now at 1.5% (HDOH). There have been a total of 736 (+6) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH, with 95 (-7 net) active cases of COVID-19 implied. As of yesterday, HMC reported 11 hospitalized in Hilo with COVID-19; 3 in ICU, 7 in COVID Unit, and 1 in Extended Care Facility (via HMC FB). Hilo Medical Center Hawaii Island Deaths Total via HCCD: 29 (+1) The Hilo Veterans Home as of yesterday has 71 (0) residents and 35 (0) employees test positive for COVID-19 (HMC). 27 deaths on island are related to the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. "Good news: There has been an improvement in recovered cases of residents and staff." ~ HMC Total Cases Statewide: 12,515 (+108 today) Released from Isolation: 10,340 (+42) Total Required Hospitalization: 862 (+15) Total Deaths: 139 (+3) (DOH) *As the result of updated information, 3 cases from Honolulu were removed from the counts.
