Weekly Quick Update - A bump in ground tilt

1:59 AM · Apr 15, 2023

Kīlauea volcano's underground adjustments are ongoing, with recent changes in monitoring signals indicating potential activity yesterday, but has since receded. There is no sign of magma movement outside the summit or increased threat to nearby communities. The primary impact remains vog from background emissions. Maunaloa shows no cause for concern despite long-term post-eruption inflation. USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory provides monitoring data. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0bgz3XdBA0
