USGS Presentation on Mauna Loa and Deep Pāhala Earthquakes

Ken goes over what is known about the deep Pahala earthquakes that have been frequently occurring since 2019, and the recent M5.0 earthquake on October 14th that was associated with Mauna Loa. Talk also includes discussion of historical large earthquakes on Hawaii Island, faults around the island, Mauna Loa eruptions relation with large earthquakes, and ongoing research to understand more about the geologically complex area of Pahala.
