USGS map of the northeast fissure locations around 12,000ft on Mauna Loa

"This preliminary map of the eruptive activity at Mauna Loa shows the location of three fissures erupting on the Northeast Rift Zone. We will be providing a more detailed map once our field crews have reported flow locations." ~ USGS Volcanoes Note: map does not show eruptive activity at the summit of Mauna Loa or the upper Southwest slopes of the mountain, both of which have had eruptive vents and/or lava. The map only shows the NERZ vents.
