Timelapse of the spatter cone building around Fissure 3, Mauna Loa

The primary eruptive vent on Mauna Loa continues to grow and change each day. The spatter cone around Fissure 3 is now estimated to be roughly 95ft tall, and the tallest lava fountains remain higher still.
