Starburst Sunset Tree

12:13 AM · Mar 12, 2021

I love seeing unique views in nature through my eyes and then creating an image of them through photography. Ever since I was a kid my eyes have acted like a shutter in a camera. I see and/or visualize a scene and take a mental picture. As a photographer I am fortunate that I can turn that mental picture into a visual image to document and share. I have a bucket list of dream shots that I hope to capture one day. This particular scene with this particular tree at sunset is one of them. This beautiful Naupaka (Scaevola taccada) tree on the Kohala Coast provided the perfect shape for the starburst sunset picture I've had in mind for so long. Naupaka is native to Hawaii and is commonly found on the beaches (and mountains) around the Hawaiian islands. I've spent countless hours and sunsets on this beach. This spot is quite special to me and for me this image came out better than I envisioned. This is the kind of stuff that keeps my mind so creative and inspired. -Warren Fintz Feel free to share! #keepadventuring
