M4.6 Earthquake Offshore of Maui and Hawaii Island at 11:29am HST

A magnitude 4.6 quake at a depth of 24.3km occurred today at 11:29am offshore of roughly 100km (62mi) of Hawaii Island and Maui. The depth and location are consistent with a common flexure earthquake where the island's weight bend the lithosphere of the earth.
