M4.0 Earthquake at 6:15pm, Pahala Deep Quake

A magnitude 4.3 earthquake with an epicenter near Pahala and a depth of 33.8km was recorded at 6:15pm this evening. The depth and location of the earthquake are both common, Pahala is an area long-known for this type of seismicity. There is no change to the ongoing Kīlauea eruption. The earthquake was initially auto-reported as an M4.3, which was refined upon review by a seismologist to a M4.0. At the time of writing there have been 219 'Felt Reports' submitted to USGS.
