LIVE - Kīlauea Eruption Update: First 24 Hrs of Lava Filling Crater

3:04 AM · Oct 1, 2021

We summarize the available data through 24 hours of Kīlauea's newest summit eruption, sharing webcam time-lapses, imagery and releases from the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory. The eruption poses no direct threat to people, apart from its gas, allowing us to focus on the science right from the start. This program is brought to you in part by a grant from the Hawaiʻi Island Strong Fund of the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation in partnership with the County of Hawaiʻi, and from smaller donations from viewers like you.

Thanks guys. Always nice to get it all summarized.
