Kilauea Lava Lake - FOIA Requested Overflight Footage, Thermal Overlay

Data journalist Ben Welsh submitted a Freedom of Information Act request to the Dept of Interior to release USGS-HVO's October overflight footage over Kilauea. The FOIA request led to releasing over 800 still and corresponding thermal images to Ben, who shared the contents publically. We took those images and created a video sequence with a thermal component overlay, showing the hot areas inside the mostly crusted-over lava lake.
