Half a Decade On: A Collaborative 2018 Kīlauea Eruption Tribut

What an event to be a part of, we are proud to have been asked to produce the evening short video looking back at our community's journey. The road to recovery from 2018 is ongoing. Many residents are still grappling with the long-term impacts of the eruption, including housing instability and economic hardship. The eruption became an opportunity for community building and resilience, fostering bonds that have grown stronger. Five years on, the community has made significant strides in its recovery journey. Homes have been rebuilt, often incorporating design elements to make them more resilient to future disasters. It was a night full of joy, laughter, music, and community spirit in old Pahoa town.
