From the start of the eruption up to this point it has been a story of escalation, where activity each day is greater than the previous. May 6th, 2018 is no exemption. Fissure 8 has been active throughout the night, and come morning's light, the eruption puts down a devastating lava flow on Luana Street in Leilani Estates. Also, we cover one of the strangest Emergency Alerts of the eruption.
