Drones On - May 24th and 25th, 2018 Kilauea Eruption - Lower Leilani Inundated

Combined footage of the 2018 Kilauea Eruption, May 24th and 25th. In this episode, the eruption makes a third ocean entry near MacKenzie State Park as fissures in lower Leilani Estates fully reopen. Many homes are lost and County authorities lose count of how many homes have been destroyed. Private citizens, many of whom are directly impacted by the eruption, step up to the plate to fill in the gaps. This series tells one version of the 2018 Kilauea eruption on the Lower East Rift Zone, where lava erupted in a residential neighborhood. The story is told through available footage from many sources, including USGS, Hawaii Count Civil Defense, DoD, National Guard, DLNR, and private citizens. This series will go through each day of the eruption and tell the story from the lens of a Leilani Estates resident. Footage in this episode courtesy of USGS, DOD, Hawaii County Civil Defense, Mick Kalber, Scott Wilson, Andrew Hara, and Kris Brumeister. https://youtu.be/813WHrQb8TQ
