Combined footage of the 2018 Kilauea Eruption, May 20th and 21th. Morning rises on a new ocean entry as Fissures 20 and 22 feed multiple fresh lava channels. This episode covers the Laze Plume from the ocean entry, difficulties in access to different areas of lower Puna, Lava encroaches upon the Puna Geothermal Venture, a very deep hole opens up and lava drains into it, and Philip Ong makes his first appearance on Ikaika Marzo's livestream. This series tells one version of the 2018 Kilauea eruption on the Lower East Rift Zone, where lava erupted in a residential neighborhood. The story is told through available footage from many sources, including USGS, Hawaii Count Civil Defense, DoD, National Guard, DLNR, and private citizens. This series will go through each day of the eruption and tell the story from the lens of a Leilani Estates resident. love it! Great video. Almost lost my van that night with all my automotive repair tools in it. Somebody loaned us a jack to get it out of the crack just in time. It was very rare to come across other people that week. I was lucky.
