Combined footage of the 2018 Kilauea Eruption, July 30th through August 10th. In this episode the final collapse event at the Kilauea summit occurs and the LERZ eruption goes into a pause, and sand begins inundating Pohoiki Bay. This series tells one version of the 2018 Kilauea eruption on the Lower East Rift Zone, where lava erupted in a residential neighborhood. The story is told through available footage from many sources, including USGS, Hawaii County Civil Defense, DoD, National Guard, DLNR, and private citizens. This series will go through each day of the eruption and tell the story from the lens of a Leilani Estates resident.
