78 New Cases of COVID-19 in the state, Dec 2nd

1 new cases on island via Hawaii DoH. There have been a total of 1,606 (+1) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH. There has been 119 cases on island in the last two weeks. 1 currently hospitalized on the island (HCCD). Hawaii Island Deaths Total: 49 (0) – "7 community at the Hilo Medical Center, 4 community at the Kona Community Hospital, 10 from Life Care Center, per their website, 27 from the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home." (HMC, Life Care Center). One fatality is outstanding from classification. 7-day average on test positivity on island is at 1.4%, the state's positivity rate is now at 1.6%. On Monday, (11.30.20) there were 433 tests processed on island. 772 passenger arrivals on island Nov 30th. The most passenger arrivals since March so far is 1,475 on Nov 21st, arrivals had a bump in the week before Thanksgiving, but has returned to levels seen since the Oct 15th pre-travel screening program began. STATE STATS: Total Cases Statewide: 17,968 (+78* today) Cases in the past 14 days: **1,250 Total Hospitalizations: 1,304 (+13) Total Deaths: 244 (0) NOTE Dept of Health has listed 34 death on Hawaii Island, there is at least a 1 month delay processing deaths. *As a result of updated information, one HI resident diagnosed out of state and one case from Oahu were dropped from the counts.
