70 New Cases of COVID-19 in the state, Oct 4th

There have been a total of 810 (+15) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH, with 147 (+9 net) active cases of COVID-19 implied. Hawaii Island Deaths Total via HCCD: 30 (+1) As of yesterday, HMC reported 16 hospitalized in Hilo with COVID-19 (HCCD). There are no longer COVID patients at Yukio Okutsu now. Life Care center now has 12 residents test positive, and 6 staff. "The high increase of new cases is of great concern and demonstrates the critical need of following the preventive polices of face coverings, distancing, and gatherings. Much of this increase is due to clusters at the University of Nations in Kona and the Life Care Center in Hilo" ~ HMC 7-day average on test positivity on island is trending up, now at 2.6% (HDOH).
