Amazing! USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory imagery analyses confirm that lava fountains erupted during episode 23 were the highest recorded so far in the ongoing #Kīlauea summit eruption. Fountains from the north vent reached nearly 350 meters (1,150 feet) around 5:30 p.m. HST on May 25.
