11:05 PM · Feb 18, 20217 new cases on island. Previously to Feb 15th, the last time there were no new cases in Hawaii County was on August 10th, 2020. There have been a total of 2,224 (7 new case today) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH, with 38 cumulative cases on island in the last two weeks. 1 person is hospitalized on the island via last report (HCCD). Hawaii Island Deaths Total: 53 – There have been no deaths reported in the last seven weeks, via HCCD. The latest positivity rate is at 0.6% on island, and the state's positivity is now at 0.9%. On Tuesday, (2.15.20) there were only 480 tests processed in Hawaii County.** 1,256 passenger arrivals on island Feb 16th. On December 26th there were 2,333 passenger arrivals, surpassing the previous record for most arrivals since March and the start of the 14 days quarantine. 1,929 Passenger arrivals on Feb 11th represents the most arrivals since the Christmas travel bump. STATE STATS: Total Cases Statewide: 27,000 (+67* today) Cases in the past 14 days: 769 Total Hospitalizations: 1,806 (+2) Total Deaths: 428 (+2) *As a result of updated information, two cases on Maui were removed from the counts, and one case was re-categorized from Maui to Molokai. Due to an interruption of electronic laboratory reporting, our case count was lower than the true number of new cases. We expect to see catch-up reporting of the additional cases over the next 1 to 2 days. ~ DoH ** Dept of Health is two days behind on the 7-day average tracking of test positivity. On Sundays and Mondays there are less tests processed than during the rest of the week.
