Kilauea One Month Eruption Compilation, 2021 Eruption

At 3:21pm on September 29th lava once again burst forth from Halema'uma'u. Today, October 29th marks one month since the start of the 2021 eruption of Kilauea inside the Halema'uma'u crater. This video is a compilation of all publicly available footage provided by the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory. The Kilauea volcano is the world's most active volcano, situated on the southern side of Hawaii Island. Kilauea is a basaltic shield volcano and is centered inside the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The 2021 eruption took place inside the Kilauea caldera, filling in the 2018 collapse pit in with lava for a second time since that legendary eruption a few years ago on Kilauea's lower East Rift Zone. The USGS-HVO monitor Kilauea daily, and have access to areas restricted to the public due to safety concerns (volcanic gas), from those restricted areas is where most of the non-aerial footage originates.
