7 new cases on island via Hawaii DoH. There have been a total of 1,557 (+7) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH. There has been 144 cases on island in the last two weeks. 7 hospitalized on the island (HCCD). Hawaii Island Deaths Total: 49 (0) – "7 community at the Hilo Medical Center, 4 community at the Kona Community Hospital, 10 from Life Care Center, per their website, 27 from the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home." (HMC, Life Care Center). One fatality is outstanding from classification. 7-day average on test positivity on island was at 1.6%, the state's positivity rate is now at 2%. On Sunday, (11.22.20) there were 463 tests processed on island. 1,201 passenger arrivals on island Nov 22nd. The most passenger arrivals since March has been 1,475 on the day prior, arrivals have started to uptick from numbers over the previous month ago. STATE STATS: Total Cases Statewide: 17,393 (+61* today) Cases in the past 14 days: **1,313 Total Hospitalizations: 1,268 (+7) Total Deaths: 233 (0) NOTE: Only 32 of HI's 48 deaths have been added to records by DoH, there is at least a 1 month delay. Only a few deaths have been processed recently by DoH. NOTE: DoH is now 2 days behind on reporting case numbers, creating a discrepancy. *As a result of updated information, one case on The Big Island was removed from the counts.
