87 New Cases of COVID-19 in the state, Sept 29th

3 new cases via Hawaii DoH and HCCD, 7-day average on test positivity on island is slow decreasing, now at 1.2% (HDOH). There have been a total of 703 (+3) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH, with 77 (-11 net) active cases of COVID-19 implied. As of yesterday, HMC reported 15 hospitalized in Hilo with COVID-19; 2 in ICU, 12 in COVID Unit, and 1 in Extended Care Facility (via HMC FB). Hawaii Island Deaths Total via HCCD: 28 (0) The Hilo Veterans Home as of yesterday has 71 (0) residents and 35 (0) employees test positive for COVID-19 (HMC). 26 deaths on island are related to the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. YUKIO OKUTSU STATE VETERANS HOME - "There have been no changes in the numbers over the last few days. Also, this last round of resident and staff testing resulted in ALL NEGATIVE results."
