In honor of the 60th anniversary of the eruption of Kīlauea Iki, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park hosted Dr. Don Swanson of the USGS-Hawaiian Volcano Observatory in this week's installment of the award-winning After Dark in the Park series. With permission, I recorded the public presentation impromptu this past Tuesday at Kīlauea Visitor Center auditorium to share with all of you who weren't able to make it. Please forgive that some parts are grainy and some slides hard to read, as this was filmed on a single iPhone, and that the audio isn't ideal due to the acoustics of the speaker system inside the auditorium.
