2 new cases on island via Hawaii DoH. There have been a total of 1,864 (+2) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH. There has been 132 cases on island in the last two weeks. 5 hospitalized on the island via last report (HCCD). Hawaii Island Deaths Total: 51 – "7 community at the Hilo Medical Center, 4 community at the Kona Community Hospital, 10 from Life Care Center, per their website, 27 from the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home." (HMC, Life Care Center). Three fatalities are outstanding from classification. Dept of Health is two days behind on the 7-day average tracking of test positivity; the latest positivity rate is at 1.4% on island, and the state's positivity rate was at 2.4%. On Saturday, (12.26.20) there were 237 tests processed on island. No updates since Dec 23rd to passenger arrivals, updated info expected tomorrow: 1,772 passenger arrivals on island Dec 23rd when last updated by DBEBT. On December 19th there were 2,326 passenger arrivals, surpassing the previous record for most arrivals since the March and the start of the 14 days quarantine. Arrivals had a bump in the week before Thanksgiving, and are having another before Christmas it appears.
