10:23 PM · Feb 17, 20211 new case on island. Previously to Feb 15th, the last time there were no new cases in Hawaii County was on August 10th, 2020. There have been a total of 2,217 (1 new case today) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH, with 37 cumulative cases on island in the last two weeks. 1 person is hospitalized on the island via last report (HCCD). Hawaii Island Deaths Total: 53 – There have been no deaths reported in the last seven weeks, via HCCD. The latest positivity rate is at 0.5% on island, and the state's positivity is now at 1.0%. On Monday, (2.15.20) there were only 63 tests processed in Hawaii County.** 1,390 passenger arrivals on island Feb 15th. On December 26th there were 2,333 passenger arrivals, surpassing the previous record for most arrivals since March and the start of the 14 days quarantine. 1,929 Passenger arrivals on Feb 11th represents the most arrivals since the Christmas travel bump. STATE STATS: Total Cases Statewide: 26,935 (+29* today) Cases in the past 14 days: 810 Total Hospitalizations: 1,804 (+4) Total Deaths: 426 (+1) *As a result of updated information, one case out-of-state was recategorized to Oahu. Due to an interruption of electronic laboratory reporting, yesterday’s case count was lower than the true number of new cases.
