17* NEW CASES OF COVID-19 IN THE STATE - NO NEW CASES ON ISLAND, FEB 16TH

No new cases on island, via Hawaii DoH. Today is second consecutive day with no new cases, previously the last time there were no new cases in Hawaii County was on August 10th, 2020. There have been a total of 2,216 (no new cases today) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH, with 40 cumulative cases on island in the last two weeks. Nobody is hospitalized on the island via last report (HCCD). Hawaii Island Deaths Total: 53 – There have been no deaths reported in the last seven weeks, via HCCD. The latest positivity rate is at 0.4% on island, and the state's positivity is now at 1.0%. On Sunday, (2.14.20) there were 210 tests processed in Hawaii County.** 1,929 passenger arrivals on island Feb 11th. On December 26th there were 2,333 passenger arrivals, surpassing the previous record for most arrivals since March and the start of the 14 days quarantine. 1,929 Passenger arrivals on Feb 11th represents the most arrivals since the Christmas travel bump. STATE STATS: Total Cases Statewide: 26,906 (+17* today) Cases in the past 14 days: 850 Total Hospitalizations: 1,800(0) Total Deaths: 426 (0) *As a result of updated information, two cases on Oahu were removed from the counts. ~ DoH ** Dept of Health is two days behind on the 7-day average tracking of test positivity. Kinda sad that close to half the tests in the state processed were processed here on the island (total for Hawaii State was 459 for the reporting day), but good for us here to know that ours were negative.
