13 new cases on island via Hawaii DoH. There have been a total of 1,636 (+13) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH. There has been 109 cases on island in the last two weeks. 2 currently hospitalized on the island (HCCD). Hawaii Island Deaths Total: 49 (0) – "7 community at the Hilo Medical Center, 4 community at the Kona Community Hospital, 10 from Life Care Center, per their website, 27 from the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home." (HMC, Life Care Center). One fatality is outstanding from classification. 7-day average on test positivity on island is at 1.0%, the state's positivity rate is now at 1.7%. On Wednesday, (12.2.20) there were 492 tests processed on island. 1,010 passenger arrivals on island Dec 3rd. The most passenger arrivals since March so far is 1,475 on Nov 21st, arrivals had a bump in the week before Thanksgiving, but has returned to levels seen since the Oct 15th pre-travel screening program began. STATE STATS: Total Cases Statewide: 18,423 (+133* today) Cases in the past 14 days: **1,258 Total Hospitalizations: 1,326 (+1) Total Deaths: 261 (+5) NOTE: Dept of Health has 7 more outstanding deaths on Hawaii Island in yesterday's update, there is at least a 1 month delay processing deaths. DoH now lists 41 deaths of 49 reported by HCCD. *As a result of updated information, one case on Oahu was recategorized to Hawaii, and one case on Maui was recategorized to out-of-state. (DoH)
