51 new cases on island via Hawaii DoH and HCCD. "The high numbers we are experiencing are concentrated in housing areas in North Kona and South Hilo Districts. These numbers reflect the ongoing testing policies to identify clusters of positive cases so they can be isolated and treated to prevent the spread of the virus." (HCCD) There have been a total of 1,221 (+51) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH, with 337 (+44 net) active cases of COVID-19 implied. As of yesterday there were 10 hospitalized on the island (HCCD). Hawaii Island Deaths Total: 44 (0) – "7 community at the Hilo Medical Center, 2 community at the Kona Community Hospital, 8 from Life Care Center, per their website, 27 from the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home." (HMC, Life Care Center). Four deaths at the Life Care Center have not been included in HCCD counts. 7-day average on test positivity on island is now at 3.4%, the state's positivity rate is now at 2.3%. Yesterday, Hawaii Island had 910 COVID-19 tests processed. (HDOH) Passenger arrivals coming to Hawaii island since Oct 15th started around 800 people a day, down to 473 passengers on Thursday.
