There have been a total of 852 (+18) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH, with 163 (+17 net) active cases of COVID-19 implied. As of yesterday, HMC reported 14 hospitalized in Hilo with COVID-19 (HCCD) Hawaii Island Deaths Total via HCCD: 33 (+1) -- "27 from the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home and 3 community at the Hilo Medical Center, 2 from Life Care Center..." No information provided about the 33rd death on island yet. ... 7-day average on test positivity on island is trending up, now at 2.9% (HDOH), the state 7-day avg is now 2.6%. Oct 5th Hawaii Island had 341 tests processed on island. NOTE: Sundays and Mondays process less tests than the rest of the week.
